The Sapphire Gemfields sits at the centre of two worlds – The Southern Great Barrier Reef and Outback Queensland. To find it, head inland from Rockhampton, or head east from Longreach along the Capricorn Highway, or if travelling north to south along the Great Inland Way, it is forty-two kilometres west of Emerald. The Sapphire Gemfields can also be accessed from the north along fully sealed scenic roads via Capella and Clermont. All roads are an easy and pleasant drive, allowing you to explore more of the region.
