Robo’s Group is a local family-owned group of businesses that have been servicing the Central Queensland community now for over 32 years.
It all started in 1991 as a Shell Service Station on Wandal Road, with Robo’s and his family pumping petrol and doing some mechanical repairs, then they began selling tyres. This is where the origins of Robo’s Group started and although there have been many changes over 32 years, Robo’s Group is still serving the Rockhampton Region. Although no longer a petrol station, Robo’s Group has expanded to include 6 businesses with the first being Robo’s Tyre Works across the road from the Rocky Showgrounds, where it remains to this day. After a while, the decision was made to demonstrate Robo’s commitment to both selling quality tyres as well as the servicing and repairing of motor vehicles by expanding the vehicle servicing and repair division under Robo’s Motorworks banner. However, the expansion didn’t stop there. A long-term supplier Fulcrum Suspension, advised of their plans to open a franchise in Rockhampton and asked if Robo’s would take it on. Robo’s agreed and Robo’s Fulcrum Rockhampton was established in September 2013 and later included Robo’s CQ Manual Gearbox and Diff Centre and Active Gear Rockhampton. Soon followed Tom Leyden Tyres & Mechanical in Gracemere, enabling Robo’s Group to better service communities like Mount Morgan, Westwood, Bouldercombe, Kabra, Stanwell, Marmor, Bajool, and of course Gracemere and Gogango. Robo’s Group is proud to be a trusted part of the community and provide jobs locally.
